Hi, I'm 👋
Sumit Subhash Shede
Techno-Functional Consultant
Business Central · Navision · Python · n8n Automation
I help companies implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, migrate off legacy NAV, and connect their ERP to AI-powered automation — 15+ years, 60+ delivered projects, clients across Canada, the UK, Europe, and India.
Bridging ERP & Modern Technology
I take companies from legacy NAV or QuickBooks to a working Business Central Cloud system — and then make that system talk to everything else they run. As a Techno-Functional Consultant with 15+ years across every version from NAV 3.5 to the latest BC Cloud, I own the whole journey: discovery, fit-gap, AL development, data migration, training, and go-live.
My work sits at the intersection of deep ERP knowledge and modern development: I architect solutions, write AL and Python code, design data migrations, and build AI-powered automations that make ERP systems smarter and more connected.
Beyond BC/NAV, I've built 30+ production AI integrations using n8n, RAG pipelines with Qdrant vector stores, and REST API integrations that bridge ERP with WhatsApp, e-invoicing portals, stock markets, and cloud platforms — including one of the first Business Central–Claude AI connections via Model Context Protocol.
I've delivered projects onsite in Denmark and the Philippines, and currently work remotely with Canadian clients as a Senior Consultant at Endeavour Solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about NAV-to-BC migrations, AI-powered ERP automation, and working with me.
How long does a NAV to Business Central migration take?
For a mid-size company, a NAV-to-BC migration typically takes 3–6 months: assessment and fit-gap analysis, C/AL-to-AL code refactoring, trial data migrations, user acceptance testing, and go-live. Heavily customized or multi-country systems take longer — I've delivered a 15-month migration for The Summer Berry Company (UK) and a multi-year engagement for Videojet Technologies. The honest answer always starts with an assessment of your customization depth and data quality.
What does a techno-functional consultant do on a Business Central project?
A techno-functional consultant bridges business and code: running discovery sessions, doing fit-gap analysis, configuring finance/sales/purchase/inventory modules, writing AL extensions, managing data migration, and training users. Instead of a functional consultant and a developer passing requirements back and forth, one person stays accountable end to end — which usually means faster delivery and fewer translation errors.
Can Business Central connect to AI tools and automation platforms like n8n?
Yes. I've built 30+ production integrations connecting Business Central and NAV to AI and automation: AI chatbots answering questions from ERP data, invoice OCR that posts documents automatically, WhatsApp and Telegram alerts, Shopify order sync, and a Business Central–Claude AI connection via Model Context Protocol (MCP). BC's REST APIs make it a first-class citizen in modern automation stacks.
Should we upgrade our NAV system or reimplement in Business Central?
It depends on customization depth and data quality. Lightly customized NAV 2015+ systems usually fit the upgrade path (code refactoring plus data migration). Heavily modified or very old systems (NAV 2009 and earlier) are often cheaper long-term to reimplement cleanly in BC Cloud, migrating master data and opening balances only. I've delivered both routes and can assess which fits your system.
Do you work with clients outside India?
Yes — most of my current work is remote for Canadian clients (as Senior Consultant at Endeavour Solutions), with working hours overlapping North American mornings. I've previously delivered onsite in Denmark and the Philippines, and remotely for the UK, Poland, and Switzerland. Remote ERP delivery across time zones has been my normal mode for years.
Which industries have you delivered ERP projects for?
Manufacturing, retail and e-commerce, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, facility management, precious-metals refining, oil & gas, banking and payments, and dairy. The BC/NAV core is the same everywhere — what changes is the industry's edge: EXIM and excise for Indian manufacturing, KSeF e-invoicing for Poland, property-management integration for Canadian self-storage.
How do I engage you for a freelance or consulting project?
Send a message through the contact form, WhatsApp, or email. We start with a short discovery call to understand your system and goals, then I send a scoped proposal. I work on contract, per-project, and retainer models — remote-first, with flexible overlap for your time zone.
