BC Integration — StorageVault Canada
Project Overview
StorageVault Canada required a bi-directional integration between their Microsoft Business Central ERP and the Itamlink property management platform. The goal was to automate data flow between the two systems, eliminating manual data entry and ensuring financial records in BC stayed in sync with property management data in Itamlink.
Integration Scope
- Defined data flows between Business Central and Itamlink through discovery workshops with business stakeholders
- Mapped Itamlink property and financial entities to corresponding BC structures (customers, invoices, payments, GL entries)
- Designed API-based integration architecture using BC's standard REST APIs and Itamlink's API layer
- Developed AL extensions in BC to expose and consume data via API endpoints
- Implemented error handling, logging, and retry logic for reliable data sync
My Role & Contributions
- Served as Business Central Techno-Functional Consultant for the integration initiative
- Managed end-to-end integration project between Business Central and the Itamlink property management platform
- Led regular stakeholder calls to align requirements, timelines, and deliverables
- Conducted discovery workshops with business users to define integration scope and data flows
- Validated requirements, designed the solution, developed AL code, and provided testing and post-go-live support
