BC-MCP — Business Central + Claude AI Integration
Project Overview
Built a Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration that connects Microsoft Business Central directly to Claude AI, allowing natural-language queries and actions against BC data and workflows.
My Role & Contributions
- Researched and implemented Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Designed BC API connector layer for MCP tool definitions
- Exposed BC data (customers, vendors, items, transactions) as MCP tools
- Enabled Claude AI to query and act on BC data via natural language
- Tested and iterated with real BC sandbox environments
- Documented architecture and usage patterns
